She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas James Thornton and Offie Mae Marcy Thornton; and her husband Jackie Fields. She is survived by: her children, Dennis Johnson (Deana) of Oil City, LA, Ralph Johnson (Tammy) of Blanchard, LA, James Fields (Linda) of New Milford, CT, Lori Leigh Ann Smith of Oil City, LA and Nita Adams of Oil City; her grandchildren, Jacob, Alex, Katie, Bailey, Charlotte, Emily, Brookelyn, Cheslea, Jordan, Jaylea and Jace; and her siblings, Maxine Miser and Steve Thornton.

Visitation was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Oil City United Pentecostal Church (701 LA-1, Oil City, LA 71061).
