He was predeceased by: his parents, James Welch and Hazel Welch; his son Jon Brandon Welch; and his siblings, Ernest Welch, Hubert Welch, Vernon Welch and Gladys Welch Wheeler.
He is survived by: his spouse Mary Welch of Oakdale; his daughters, Shonda Monk (Jerome) of Oakdale and Annette Dickens (Keith) of Dry Prong; his siblings, Roy Welch (Beth) of Oakdale, Richard "Ike" Welch (Esther) of Oakdale, Wayne Welch of Oakdale and Wanda Welch Monk of Oakdale; and his grandchildren, Krista Monk, Evan Monk, Felicia Dickens, Micah Dickens and Leah Dickens. He is also survived by husband, father and grandfather.
