With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Phyllis Ehlers (Oakdale, Louisiana), born in Alexandria, Louisiana, who passed away on February 11, 2020 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Phillip Higdon and Minerva Higdon. She is survived by: her husband James Darrell Ehlers; her children, Phillip Ehlers (Sujad) and Eileen (Brad Topham); her grandchildren, Ryker and Arden Ehlers; and her sister Terry (Herman Strohm). She is also survived by one nephew; one niece; and a host of cousins and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Oakdale High School History Department, the Sacred Heart Catholic Church youth group, or a charity of your choice.
