The memory of Pernie Johnson of Oakdale, Louisiana, who passed away on February 8, 2025 at the age of 91, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her husband Nelson "Mannie" Johnson; her great grandchild Joshua Granger; her great great grandchildren, Riggs Willis and Renlynn Willis; her parents, Andrew Jackson Willis and Lucinda Willis Rodriguez; and her sisters, Vernie West and Merdie Myers.
She is survived by: her children, Wilfred Willis, Judy Glenn (Johnny), Andrew Willis (Barbara), Lamar Johnson (Linda) and Buford Johnson (Walterine); and her grandchildren, Valerie Granger, Johnny Glenn Jr., Jody Glenn, Christy Nolen, Jessica Stiltner, David Willis, Jill Willis, Cindy Coker, Kyle Mutina and Erin Jackson. She is also survived by 22 great grandchildren, 29 great great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM and on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM at 173 Gospel Lighthouse Rd, Oakdale, LA 71463. A funeral service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Oakhill Cemetery.
