He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Rachal and Delphine Rachal; his wife Patsy Bordelon Rachal; his brother Raymond Rachal; and his grandsons, Ronnie King and Derrick Deville.
He is survived by: his children, Mitchell "Joe" Rachal (Jan) of Elmer, Nita Beebe (Kary) of Cotile and Brenda Faye Jones (Daniel) of Forest Hill; and his siblings, Elbert Rachal of Columbia, David Rachal of Cloutierville, Ernestine Martin of Williana, Melinda Martin of Cloutierville, Brenda Sue Jones of Colfax and Rhonda Carter of Cloutierville. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren and six stepchildren.
