He was predeceased by: his father Joseph; the mother of his children Wanda Potts; and his wife Anita Potts. He is survived by: his children, Joe Wayne Potts of Oakdale, Scotty Potts (Rocksanna) of Oakdale, Andy Potts of Oakdale and Edwina Gobert (Bobby) of Beaumont, TX; his stepchildren, Dewayne Paul of Hayes, Virginia, Jenny Jensen (Kim) of Yorktown and Elizabeth Fike (Tim) of Yorktown, Virginia; and his close friends, John Wade Fuselier, Roy Welch and Leamon Rodriguez. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren.
