He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Johnson and Ruth Johnson; his children, Jamie Johnson, Buzz Gordon and Wayne Laird; his grandson Chad Reed; and his sisters, Delores Maricle and Ilene Jarnagin.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Chamberlain Johnson of Oakdale; his children, Louis Johnson (Kathy) of Oakdale, Kevin Gordon (Jessica) of Bridge City, TX, Mandy Reed (Mike) of Oakdale, Melanie Vidrine (Donny) of Pitkin, Veronica D. Gordon of Chalmette and Jayme Gormanous (Jason) of Oakdale; and his siblings, Richard T. Johnson (Arleen) of Glenmora, Joy Ardoin and Cathy Johnson of Oakdale. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and thirteen great great grandchildren.
