He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer McLendon and Alverne McLendon; his wife Irene Wimberly McLendon; and his brother James Wallace McLendon. He is survived by: his children, Jerelyn McLendon, Wallace McLendon (Kate) and Ginger McLendon Foley (Mark); his grandchildren, Russell McLendon (Meryl) and Kristy Roper; his husband Julie French; his great grandchildren, Claudia McLendon, Patrick McLendon, Wally Kennedy, Lilly Kennedy, James Kennedy, Graham Kennedy, Julian French, Austin Roper, Brayden Roper, Chase Roper, Dayne Roper, Ethan Roper and Finn Roper; and also, Randle Roper and Stephen Roper (Crystal). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
