It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Thomas Blackwell Jr. (Oak Grove, Louisiana), who passed away on November 28, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Thomas Blackwell, Sr. and Dorothy Maud Harp Blackwell; and his brother Richard Harp Blackwell. He is survived by: his wife Janet Dean Blackwell; his children, Elizabeth Blackwell Carroll (Jeremy), Laura Blackwell Bain (Preston) and Tommy Joe Cox; his grandchildren, Natalie Cox Jackson (Zach), Catherine Carroll, Elise Bain and Connor Bain; his siblings, John Blackwell (Lou) and Mary Blackwell Baskin; and his godchildren, Caroline Evans Payne and David Allen Dienes. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mer Rouge United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 400, Mer Rouge, Louisiana 71261 in his memory.
