He was predeceased by: his son Darren Johnson; his parents, Felton Johnson and Claudie Johnson; his siblings, Jerry Darrell Johnson and Marsha Hammond; his mother-in-law Effie Marie Schrock; and his brothers-in-law, Carroll Dale Schrock, William "Bill" Schrock (Jo Ann), Fred Bolding, Dennis Bolton and Kenneth Bolding.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Schrock Johnson of Oak Grove, LA; his children, Roy Thomas Johnson, Jr. of Oak Grove, LA and Jennifer Lee Thornhill (Randall) of Oak Grove, LA; his grandson Garrett Lee "George" Thornhill of Oak Grove, LA; his sister-in-law Linda Schrock Bolton of Oak Grove, LA; and his nephew Jay Johnson of Oak Grove, LA. He is also survived by numerous nieces, and nephews.
