With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Edward Overby Jr. of Oak Grove, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 29, 2024 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Edward Overby, Sr. and Anneliesa Rosa Overby (Ebel). He is survived by: his wife Patricia Joanne Overby (Butler) of Oak Grove, Louisiana; his daughter Robin Elaine Welch (Overby); his son-in-law Keith Welch of Monroe, Louisiana; his son Nicholas Zane Overby; his daughter-in-law Savannah Overby of Downsville, Louisiana; his son Raymond Vance Overby; his daughter-in-law Julie Overby of Lafayette, Louisiana; and his grandchildren, Abbey Elaine (Welch), Sullivan (Alex) and Daniel Alton Welch.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the First Church of God (210 S Briggs St, Oak Grove, LA 71263). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation.
