He was predeceased by: his former wife Omah Dean "Deanie" Millikin; his granddaughter Madelon Capers; his parents, John Hulan Gray and Eula Gray (Lee); his adoptive parents, Richard Shaw Millikin and Alma Millikin (Castleman); and his siblings, Homer Gray, Ruby Gray Kersh, Martha Gray Sanders, Kathleen Gray Dew, Elsie Gray Waggoner, Annie Lou Gray and Virginia Gray Davis.
He is survived by: his wife Jimmie Lou Millikin of Oak Grove, Louisiana; his daughter Cindy; his son-in-law Donnie Shelton of Oak Grove, Louisiana; his son Shaw Millikin of Oak Grove, Louisiana; his siblings, Luther Gray of Oak Grove, Louisiana, Betty Gray Wood of West Monroe, Louisiana and Rachel Gray Leachman of Houston, Texas; and his grandchildren, Mason Capers of Oak Grove, Louisiana, Carli Millikin of Monroe, Louisiana and Carson Millikin of Monroe, Louisiana. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.
