He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Caroline Elizabeth Roberson; and his parents, William Samuel Butler and Tiney Pearl Butler (Fortenberry). He is survived by: his wife Betty Jean Butler (Crowe) of Oak Grove, Louisiana; his daughter Jill Roberson of Oak Grove, Louisiana; his grandchildren, Shelly (Jude Johnston) of Rayville, Louisiana, Patrick (Lauren Roberson) of Oak Grove, Louisiana, Kara (Ethan Benton) of Oak Grove, Louisiana and Anna-Claire Roberson of Baskin, Louisiana; and his great grandchildren, Caroline Johnston, Jackson Johnston, Patton Roberson and Will Benton.
