With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Edward Minchew (Newellton, Louisiana), who passed away on April 13, 2024 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Minchew and Letha King Minchew; and his siblings, Mary Swazy, Irma Griffin, Debbie Scobee, Ralph Minchew and Vernon "Tex" Minchew.
He is survived by: his brother Rev. Daniel Minchew (Mildred); his daughters, Tracey Jordon and Teresa Minchew; his stepchildren, Derrick King and Nickie King; his sister-in-law Julia Minchew; his friend Mary Jinnings; and his pets, Prissy, Bugger Red, Badger and Jizzy Rose. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
