He was predeceased by: his wife Marguerite Smith Burnside; and his sister Jane Burnside Earnest. He is survived by: his children, Karen Burnside Barnett (Glenn) and Frank R. Burnside, Jr. (Jan); his grandchildren, Walker B. Barnett, Marshall B. Barnett, Kathryn Barnett Forster, Berry Burnside Balfour and Frank R. Burnside, III; and his brother Wade W. Burnside, Jr.. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
