The memory of Yvonne Piper Dayries of New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on February 1, 2025 at the age of 86, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her significant other Herman J. Dayries, Sr.; and her mother Lillian Givens. She is survived by: her children, Sonje', Helina, Herman Dayries (Lori) and Alyssia Sam (Michael); and her siblings, Rhoberta Piper, Weldon Piper and Dianne P. Wooden. She is also survived by 3 sisters-in-law; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mount Zion United Methodist Church (2722 Louisiana Ave, New Orleans, LA 70115). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Louisiana National Cemetery (303 Mount Pleasant - Zachary Rd, Zachary, LA 70791).
