He was predeceased by: his significant other Manuella Bonura Fretwell; his parents, John Joseph Fretwell Sr. and Lucy Chaubaud Fretwell; his siblings, John J. Fretwell Jr. (Patricia) and Joan "JoAnn" F. Montecino (Jules); and his friend Richard Miles.
He is survived by: his sister-in-law Deborah Bonura Kairdol (Wayne). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 17th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the L. A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home (2607 Williams Blvd, Kenner, LA 70062). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, October 17th 2024 at 12:00 PM and at 4:00 PM at the same location.
