With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Wendell Smith of New Orleans, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 31, 2024 at the age of 43. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Katie Smith. He is survived by: his wife Keiatca Perry; his children, Wendell Smith, Wynter Smith, Wardell Smith and Jhadell Smith; his stepchildren, Chaquell Perry, Shaneka Perry and Whitney Perry; his father Joseph George; his mother-in-law Dinah Brown; his sister Wendy Smith; his siblings-in-law, Jermaine Macklin, Tommy Perry and Danielle Perry; and his goddaughter Ladoya Macklin.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Greater Morning Star Baptist Church (1242 Vallette St, New Orleans, LA 70114). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
