She is survived by: her children, Tron Hughes (Racquel), LaToya Gerdes (Carlos) and Toi Hughes; her siblings, Charles Lewis, Joyce Thomas, Terry Gerdes and Ronald Gerdes; and her grandchildren, Glyndale Stevenson and Paris Neville.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church (1625 Annette St, New Orleans, LA 70116). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
