We are sad to announce that on April 11, 2025, at the age of 95, Theldon Augustine Griffin of New Orleans, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Griffin and Gertrude Duronslet; his wife Joy Armant; his brother George Griffin; his stepdaughter Maria Brisco; and his brother-in-law Sterling Fleury, Sr. (Audrey).
He is survived by: his children, Amber Griffin Davillier (Jeffrey) and Stephen Griffin (Katherine); his stepchildren, Byron Laurent and Sean Fowler; his grandchildren, Angelique Davillier, Jeffrey Davillier, Jr. (Keiajuana), Megan Beckwith (Kevon), Lindsey Griffin, Byron Laurent, Sr. (Paula), Valencia Luke Aonika (David), Varion Laurent (Erin), Sean Laurent (Tawana), Kenneth Brisco (Lola), Trinity Mullen and Vanessa Fowler; his siblings-in-law, Joan Birkel, Carlee Simon, Patricia Ralph (Rett), Lionel Fleury (Carol), Merlin Fleury, Sr. (Hilda) and Gerald Fleury; his godchildren, Carmen Cousteau, Charlene Peters and Carl Delery; and also, Tracy and Gina Griffin. He is also survived by fifteen great grandchildren, one great grandchild, a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Resurrection of Our Lord Catholic Church (9701 Hammond St, New Orleans, LA 70127). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
