He was predeceased by: his wife Sharon Ann Vallas Kahrs; his son Alan Michael Kahrs; his parents, Leonard George Kahrs, Sr. and Minna Bertha Smith Kahrs; and his brothers, Leonard George Kahrs, Jr. and Robert Anthony Kahrs.
He is survived by: his children, Kelly Anne Kahrs Rachal (Steve) and Daniel Christopher Kahrs; and his siblings, Gerald Edward Kahrs (Christina) and Lynette Deanna Kahrs Smith (Ray). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Greenwood Funeral Home (5200 Canal Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the National Kidney Foundation.
