It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stanley Lionel Johnson of New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on October 25, 2024, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Stanley may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Stanley touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James A. Johnson, Sr. and Philomene Williams Johnson; and his siblings, James A. Johnson, Jr., Westley L. Johnson, Dora J. Richardson, Gladys E. Johnson and Philomene "Shirley" Johnson-Ketchens.
He is survived by: his wife Dionne Bartley-Johnson; and his sisters, Inez J. Williams, Dollie J. Davis and Viola J. Davis (Warren). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and great-great nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Mount Hermon Baptist Church (2153 N Broad St, New Orleans, LA 70119). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
