She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert West and Millie West Sr. (Clayton). She is survived by: her children, Gail M. Collins, Sharleen S. Collins, Barbara C. Howard (Terrance) and Kareem A. Collins; her grandchildren, Kenya Daniels (Edwin), Keitra Boutan, Sheldon Howard, John Muwwakki, Amina Muwwakki, Amira Roth, Paige Howard Wells (Dwight) and Michael Collins; her siblings, Ceola, Joseph, George and Robert Jr. Daniel West; her daughter Cassandra D. Collins (Charles Collins); and her grandsons, Gregory Franklin and Avonn Boutan.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Beulah Baptist Church (2921 Fourth St, New Orleans, LA 70113). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
