She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederick Gilbert and Clothilde Vincent Gilbert; and her siblings, Joan E. Vincent, Carol G. Coleman (Penny), Rodney F. Gilbert, Sr. (Patricia), Roslyn E. Chest (Leon), Darryl E. Gilbert Sr. (Ava) and Brian E. Gilbert.
She is survived by: her sisters, Kathy Gilbert Woods and Karen N. Gilbert; her nieces and nephews, Daria Gilbert, Andrea D. Woods, Anedra Woods Walker, Kian Gilbert Duroncelay, Shanell Gilbert, David Coleman, Gerard Coleman, Darryl, Jr., Jerome, Rodney, Jr., Darwin and Ron Gilbert; and her godsisters, Lynette and Lisa Doyle. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the New Generation Baptist Church (3536 St Ferdinand St, New Orleans, LA 70126). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Next Generation Baptist Church (3536 St Ferdinand St, New Orleans, LA 70126).
