With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Ann Markus Gieseler (New Orleans, Louisiana), born in Breese, Illinois, who passed away on June 27, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto Markus and Frances Markus; her siblings, Valeria, Alice, Mary Jane, Anita, Jean, Ralph, Bob and Joe; and her son-in-law Rob.

She is survived by: her grandchildren, Ben, Mary, Sam (Nicole), Sarah (Nick), Michael, Christopher Gieseler, Anna and Peter Michiels; her great grandchildren, Beau and Palmer Gieseler; her siblings, Rosemary and Tom; and also, Dan, Jeffrey Markus Gieseler (Maile) and Pamela Gieseler Michiels. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
