Though Russell may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his spouse Jean A. Benjamin Vappie. He is survived by: his daughter Beverly Alice Vappie; his siblings, Jeffrey, Labau Vappie, Jr., Oliva Vappie Williams and Shari Vappie Tripps; and his sister-in-law Velda Benjamin Gilyot. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Corpus Christi/Epiphany Catholic Church (2022 St Bernard Ave, New Orleans, LA 70116). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
