We are sad to announce that on November 2, 2024, at the age of 87, Ruby Robert Johnson of New Orleans, Louisiana, born in Opelousas, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Robert and Lelia Malveaux Robert; her sister Florence Robert Henderson; her grandson Dillon Leroi Battiste; and her brothers-in-law, Paul Joseph Dumas and Ivery Henderson.
She is survived by: her caregiver Mary Robert Dumas; her children, Lelia McCullum (Herbert), Herbert Johnson, Marsha Smith (Darryl), Kenny Johnson (Tonnette Russell) and Deidre Johnson Battiste; her nieces and nephews, Lorena Guntner, Charmaine Lewis, Monica Roberts and Damon Henderson; her grandchildren, Dwayne Arceneaux, Markell, Darryl Smith, Casey Howard, Kyle, Kentrell Johnson and Todd Battiste; her great grandchildren, Atom Arceneaux, Fendi, Ferron and Fallen Howard; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Caitlyn, Cori Lewis, Tristen, Teren Roberts, Damon, Ivery and Julius Henderson. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 9:00 AM and from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the All Saints Catholic Church (1441 Teche St, New Orleans, LA 70114). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
