She is survived by: her son Michael Sceau (Myra); her grandchildren, Nicholas Sceau, Donielle and Ervin Polk; her great grandchildren, Malachi Polk, Derrick Allen (DJ), James Spears (Tripp), Isaish Polk, Jaime Spears, Kobi Williams and Alexander Polk; her goddaughters, Darlene Valeary (Corey) and Tiffany Harleaux; her nieces and nephews, Ponchetta Robinson, Nettie Speaks (Eugene), Verenetta Williby, Katrina M. Porter, George Porter, Jr., MacDonough Robinson, Jr. (Beatrice) and Ronald Robinson, Sr. (Debra); and her friends, Gloria Davillier, Barbara Nelson and Catherine Harleaux. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Rose was a retired schoolteacher for both the Orleans Parish School System, and the Archdiocese of New Orleans, as well as the Ochsner Foundation Hospital Office of Medical Records.
