She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Raymond Chesson and Ruth Dailey Chesson; her brother-in-law Charles Clayton Morton; and her grandson Harold "Harry" Fields Morton. She is survived by: her husband John Flood Morton, Jr.; her children, John Flood Morton, IV, Elizabeth Morton Keller and Ralph Leonard Morton; her brother Dr. Ralph Raymond Chesson II; her sisters-in-law, Dianne Bassinger Chesson and Ann Gray Bartee Morton; her daughters-in-law, Lisa Morton and Laura Morton; and her grandchildren, Karl Peter Keller Jr., Parker Keller, Eugenie Morton, Louise Morton, Emily Keller, Emma Morton, Jack Morton, Ralph Morton, Jr. and Catherine Morton. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
