He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Ray Fontenot (Nancy Ross Carothers Fontenot) and New Orleans; his son Christopher Scott Fontenot; and his pets, Trusty, Beau, Abby, Spinks, Weezie and George.
He is survived by: his wife Claudia Louise Harold; his sons, Gray Carothers Fontenot (Kristin) of Falls Church, VA and Todd Parker Fontenot of New Orleans; his stepchildren, Peter Ehrlich Menge Jr. (Shannon) of New Orleans, Christopher Aldwyn Menge (Megan) of New Orleans and Megan Bragg Harvey (Rob) of Steamboat Springs, CO; his grandchildren, Tyler Ross Fontenot, Ryan Martin Fontenot, Kathleen Anne and Natalie Amelia Bragg of Steamboat Springs, CO; and his pet Flopsy.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home (5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
