He was predeceased by: his parents, Edison Moten, Sr. and Earmease Whaley; his wife Rebecca Tureaud; and his grandchildren, Clarence Lee Moten and Wanika Donald.
He is survived by: his children, Tanya Sykes (Dellrond), Chantell Moten (Milton) and Christina Donald (Walter); and his close friend Yvonne Shepard. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren, seven sisters, three brothers, a host of brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
