Oscar Hinojosa Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Oscar Hinojosa in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on December 9, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Santiago Hinojosa and Francisca Mendez Hinojosa of Staples; his wife Elaine Sellers Hinojosa of Greenville, Alabama.; and his siblings, Joseph Hinojosa (Mary), Sarah Villanueva (Robert), Beatrice Velasquez (Modesto), Mary Rocha, Guadalupe Castilleja (Narciso), Alice Hinojosa and Janie Cosio.

He is survived by: his siblings, Santiago "Jimmy" Hinojosa (Alice), Jesus "Chuy" Hinojosa (Lisa), Paul Hinojosa and Gloria Scheuber (Scott); his daughters, Anita Montero (Chris), Adelita Greeson (James), Julia Ham (Rodney), Sylvia McIntosh (Max) and Rebecca Hinojosa (Brent); and his grandchildren, Zachary, Declan, Ava, Mason, Raleigh, Jackson, Jamie, Lizzie and Jessica. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
