Myrtis Rheams Thomas Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Myrtis Rheams Thomas of New Orleans, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 8, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Albert Thomas, Sr.; her parents, Henson Reed and Inezier P. Frazier; her stepchildren, Albert Thomas, Jr., Bernadine Thomas, Carol Green and Michael Thomas; her sisters, Winnie Williams, Albertha Frazier and Wincey Glover; and her sister-in-law Cleo Rheams.
She is survived by: her stepchildren, Wilbert Sr., Ronnie Sr., Hendrick Thomas Sr., Janet Brooks, Frances Lee, Brenda Rankins and Henrietta Jones; and her brother Otis Rheams. She is also survived by 30 step-grandchildren, 44 step great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Home Going Service.
