It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Murray Michael Ancar of New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on February 13, 2025, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Ancar Jr. and Vivian Christophe Ancar; his grandparents, Lucille Sorina, Clarence Ancar Sr. and Anita C. Ancar; and his sister-in-law Paulette Ellsworth Ancar.
He is survived by: his siblings, Brenda Ancar Lear, Yolande Ancar Adams and Clarence Ancar III; his nieces and nephews, Greer Adams, Winston Lear Jr. (Kim) and Ashley Ancar; and his godchildren, Kristin Ancar Gerdes (Louis III), Bailey Lear, Aiden McCormick and Ellis Gerdes (Linda Williams).
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Corpus Christi Catholic Church (2022 St Bernard Ave, New Orleans, LA 70117). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made to St. Augustine High School 2600 A.P. Tureaud St. New Orleans, La. 70119 in memory of Murray Ancar.
