Mildred Frances Gauthreaux Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mildred Frances Gauthreaux (New Orleans, Louisiana), who passed away on July 26, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Mildred Frances may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Mildred Frances touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ella Dugas Gauthreaux and Hoid Gauthreaux; and her brothers, Roy and Milton Gauthreaux. She is survived by: her friend Madeline Boudin.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mildred may be made to one of the numerous charities she supported, such as Catholic Charites, Covenant House, Little Sisters of the Poor, Second Harvest Food Bank, or St. Clement of Rome Church in Metairie.
