He was predeceased by : his wife Amelia Dunham Bridges; his son Michael Bridges Jr.; his sister Vicki McInnis; his parents, James Curtis Bridges Jr. and Helen Kennedy Bridges; and his great grandchild Everly Amelia Delcid.

He is survived by : his children, Sherri Bridges, Cynthia Phipps (Jay), Rhonda Ashpole (Brian) and Wendi Chacon (Roberto); and his siblings, Janell Lore, Mary Bridges, Janie Baum and James Curtis Bridges III. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
