He is survived by: his son Edward Isaac Payne; and his siblings, Rosalyn McCrory (Robert), Reginald Johnson Sr., Walter Johnson Sr., Baron Smith (Michele King), Rosa Terry, Saul Johnson, Raymond Johnson (Wanda), Alvin Johnson (Trenell), Althais Fernandez (Willie) and Kim Herron (Detrick). He is also survived by nephews, nieces, extended relatives, many lifelong friends and neighbors.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Majestic Mortuary (1833 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70113). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. Due to COVID-19, everyone attending is encouraged to wear masks and adhere to social distancing.
