He is survived by: his siblings, Clarence Jourdan Jr., Kathy "Kat" Smith, Lydia Jourdan and Beverly "Betty" Spruille; his wife Janet Jourdan; his close friend Linda Christoval; his children, Valerie Jourdan, Tanya Jourdan, Fumiko Jourdan, Melvin Jourdan Jr., Sean Jourdan and Gregory Jourdan; and his stepchildren, Travis A. Dunn, Clayton Y. Dunn, Elizabeth J. Dunn Fabre, Diedra Christoval Williams and Ronald Christoval. He is also survived by twenty-five grandchildren and thirty-seven great grandchildren.
