Though Mattie Brown may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Brown and Carrie Brown; her husband John Wesley Walker; her sister Lucille Daniels; and her son John Wesley Walker, Jr..
She is survived by: her sons, Karl Anthony Walker and Keith Jerome Walker (Gina); her daughter-in-law Marjoria J. Walker; and her friend Sorors. She is also survived by her children, 7 of her siblings, 9 grandchildren 12 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mattie's memory to the Susan G. Komen Cancer foundation or the nurses guild of Bethany United Methodist Church.
