She was predeceased by: her parents, Marie Ernestine Whitmore and Anthony Frank Henry Cavell; her great grandchild Sawyer; and her daughter Patrice. She is survived by: her children, Gerard (Jeanine) and Colette (Marcus); and her grandchildren, Ken, Mike, Jim, Janet, Evan, Aaron, Benjamin and Colin. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the MSU Foundation / Lake Charles Messiah.
