With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Nell May (New Orleans, Louisiana), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 31, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Myrtis Baggett and Harvey May; her children, Myrtis May, Joseph, Anthony, Claude and Paul May; and her siblings, Clararecy May Jenkins, JW, William David, Harvey May and Walter Gaines.
She is survived by: her children, Douglas May, Alvin May (Iris) and Toni May Jones (Nathaniel); and her siblings, Agnes Crawford, James May, Este and Allen Baggett.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 8:00 AM at the Majestic Mortuary (1833 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70113). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. Due to COVID-19, everyone attending is encouraged to wear masks and adhere to social distancing.
