We bid farewell to Mary Austin Babin (New Orleans, Louisiana), born in Houma, Louisiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 6, 2024 at the age of 91. Mary Austin touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edna Chaisson Babin and Louis Babin (Harry); and her siblings, Dorothy Babin, Irene Babin, Nolan Sr., Harry, Jr., Edward Babin, Mildred Babin, Marie Babin Ledet, Philip Babin, Sr. and Mitchie Babin.
She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Connie Laster (Bobby), Michelle Babin Freeman (Michael), Mary Edna Fanguy, Dale Ledet (Cindy) and Mark Ledet (Mary). She is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and nephews and great-grand-nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home (3827 Canal St, New Orleans, LA 70119). A Mass was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
