She was predeceased by: her husband Jack Sands; her parents, Sam Rosen and Fannye Brandt Rosen; and her siblings, Aaron Rosen and Phyllis Rosen Herman.
She is survived by: her friend Tulane; her children, Alan Sands, Marc Sands (EllenAnn) and Lee Sands (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Schuyler Sands, Sam Sands (Tiffany), Michael Sands and Anya Sands; her great grandchild Ella Sands; and her friend Melissa Jackson. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and life-long friends.
