He was predeceased by: his mother Gloria Dean Pickens; and his siblings, Johnny Pickens Jr., Lisa Pickens and Chandra LaSalle (Kevin). He is survived by: his siblings, Dwan Algere, Gary (Lisa), Keith (Denise), Terrence (Janet), Derrick Pickens, Faye Davis (Ronnie) and Albert Smith Jr. (Valerie).
