She is survived by: her husband John; her daughter Emily Thomas (Cary); her mother Lynette A. McCary; her siblings, John McCary (Merrily) of Birmingham and Edith Ham (Ron) of San Diego; and her granddaughter Quinn Dickerson of New Orleans. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.
The family suggest donations to NOCCA or the Contemporary Art Center in lieu of flowers.
