We are sad to announce that on July 31, 2024, at the age of 62, Leon Shelton Johnson of New Orleans, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his uncle David Wimberly; his aunts, Shirley and Irene Wimberly; his parents, Rev. Fred Johnson and Pauline Wimberly Johnson; and his grandparents, Reverend Paul A. Wimberly, Minnie Collins Wimberly, Edd Johnson and Ida Thompkin Johnson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Tyshandra Buckner and Flossie Depron; his grandchildren, Dominic Smother, Jr., Ava and Ayden Buckner; and his siblings, Juanita Gordon of Meridian Mississippi, Lorraine J. Walker Lithonia (Terrance) of Georgia, Betty J. Kellar (Ferron), Angel Johnson and Fred Allen Johnson. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, many bonus children, grandchildren and numerous friends.
