He was predeceased by: his great grandchild Cordell Johnson; his parents, Michel Forges and Hilda Forges; his siblings, Margarite Hunter (Robert), Augustine White (Woodrow), Naomi Howard (James), Mercury (Verna), Landry (Florence) and James Forges (Doris); his father-in-law Lawrence Cook, Sr. (Juantia); and his brother-in-law Lawrence Cook, Jr. (Geneva).
He is survived by: his wife Ruby Cook Forges; his daughter Carla Denise Johnson; his grandchildren, Carlina and Hammond Hurley Johnson, III; his great grandchildren, Brian Harris, Jr., Courtney Hill and Haven Dunn; his nephew Michael Forges (Terry); and his sister-in-law Joyce Powell (Willie). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
