He is survived by: his daughter Karen Stratton Compass (Santiago); his nieces and nephews, Trenese Encalarde (Herbert), Keyon Kent (Derrick), Chandelyn Whitehead (John), Nina Miller, Hope Carr (Michael), Kevin Mack Stratton (Myra), Orlan Streams (LeeAnn) and Christopher Guimont; his siblings-in-law, Ivory Davis (Anthony), Sania Howard and Kevin Brian Howard; his godchildren, Chandelyn Whitehead, Myra Anderson and Theron Stevenson (Lucy); his friends, Mandeline Shields, Larry Mimms and Sandra Reis; and his grandson Bishop. He is also survived by numerous cousins, extended family, dear friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Boyd Family Funeral Home (5001 Chef Menteur Hwy, New Orleans, LA 70126). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
