She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Raymond Peters, Sr. and Edith Marie Perry Peters; her in-laws, Chris (Gloria), Earl (Shelia), Elzie (Darlene), Charles Mitchell (Sandra), Joycelyn Jones (Alfred), Anna Duplessis and Sylvia Lindsay; her son Andre'Mitchell; her godson Juan Mitchell; and her siblings, Edith Marie Gardner, Roslyn Ann Thomas and Thomas Raymond Peters Jr..
She is survived by: her husband Bobby Mitchell; her sons, Chris and Sean Mitchell; her grandchildren, Zana, Kyra, Chrisean, Chris Jr. Mitchell and Markia Cole; her siblings, Janet Mitchell (Elwood), Troy Sr. (Ellaree) and Travis Peters; and her goddaughter Alexandria Jones. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Corpus Christi-Epiphany Catholic Church (2022 St Bernard Ave, New Orleans, LA 70116). A rosary was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 9:15 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
