He was predeceased by: his parents, Myrtle Cage Payne (Lillian) and John B. Dunbar; his brother Joshua Payne Jr.; and his nephew Kenneth Payne. He is survived by: his cousin Frank Freelow; his sisters, Lorraine F. Payne and Kimberly Williams; his sister-in-law Cheryl Payne; and his nephews, Anthony Payne, Leroy Jr., Nathan, Ernest Brown and Timothy Williams Jr.. He is also survived by great- nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 17th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Murray Henderson Funeral Home (1209 Teche St, New Orleans, LA 70114). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
